Urban talented lyricist signed to Mavin Records “Ladipoe” finally comes throught with his debut body of work titled “T.A.P (Talk About Poe)”, and it contains 10 tracks.
Poe cements his place as a bonafide lyricist and much more with this body of work. His versatility is on display throughout the 10-track project.
“It has taken me time to figure out what kind of artist I am,” Poe said. “A lot of people didn’t realize you could be Nigerian and be yourself. You can be authentic and eclectic. Now I understand what kind of role my music plays, and what it will be in the future. I’m filling a void left open in the Nigerian music space.”
The project begins with the reflective ‘Voices’, an outward expression of Poe’s inner monologues – touching on destiny, choices, life and the struggle to put art first.
‘”Voices’ marks the moment when I heard my own voice above the noise,” he said. “That song represents when Poe really started to talk about Poe.”
