Rafa Benitez was finally sacked by Real Madrid this evening and replaced by Bernabeu legend Zinedine Zidane.
After months of fierce speculation surrounding his future the former Chelsea and Liverpool boss was finally put out of his misery following the 2-2 draw against Gary Neville’s Valencia on Sunday President Florentino Perez called a hastily convened press conference this evening to announce the club’s decision.
Genuine president Florentino Perez said:
“I am here to say that the board has quite recently chosen, in a troublesome choice, particularly for me, to end the agreement of Rafa as first-group mentor.
“I might want to make it clear that he is an extraordinary expert.
“Zinedine Zidane knows not anybody what it is similar to remain at the front and lead Real Madrid. All through his vocation he has dependably possessed the capacity to confront up to immense difficulties.
