The 136th Most Corrupt Country In The World is Nigeria — SEE WHY !


According to Transparency International, Nigeria is the 136th most corrupt country in the world and the 3rd most corrupt country in West Africa with Guinea and Guinea Bissau leading the country in terms of corrupt practices.

In 2014 Transparency International Corruption Perception Index released on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, the group said the ranking of 174 countries is based on survey conducted to determine how corrupt their public sectors are presumed to be.

The measurement is based on a scale of 0 to 100 with a score of 0 perceived as ‘highly corrupt’ and 100 standing for ‘very clean’.

Nigeria was ranked 136th with an index score of 27/100.

Nigeria was ranked 136 Because of its poorly-equipped schools, counterfeit medicine and elections decided by money are some of the consequences of public sector corruption.
