Manchester United have signed former
Manchester City defender Sadik El Fitouri on an 18 month contract.
El Fitouri, who came through the academy setup at City, was released a couple of years ago and has been plying his trade in non-league football.
But after a recommendation from former United stars Gary Neville and Paul Scholes, the 20-year-old arrived on trial recently and impressed in a match of Under-21 players against fringe first-team stars.
The Red Devils have now decided to give him an 18 month contract and while El Fitouri won’t immediately go into the first-team, he will be looking to make a push in the coming months.
A strong and powerful centre back, he can also play at right-back or in midfield.
